Tech Note 1: Product Note
QU11669 is a little different length than the original Shift Lever used with 2003-2005 Dodge NV4500 and NV5600 Transmissions.

Tech Note 2: Fits
QU11669 can be used for both conversion and original equipment replacement applications. For early model New Venture NV4500 transmission shift covers with integral towers, QU11669 fits QK1123 Shift Stub Kit which is specific to 1992-1993 Dodge NV4500s, but will also fit 1994-1997 Dodge and 1992-1994 GM Shift Covers. New Venture redesigned the NV4500 shift cover to use a bolt-on shift tower (late 1994 -2000 GM and 1997-2005 Dodge). QU11669 fits all 1998-2005 Dodge NV4500 and 1999-2005 NV5600 Shift Towers.

Tech Note 3: 1994-1997 NV4500
1994-1997 Dodge NV4500 transmissions used a square shank shift stub and a press-on shift lever. Both the 1994-1997 stub and lever are out of production and no longer available, however, you can change to the threaded style shifter using QK1027 Shift Stub and Lever Kit which includes QK1025 Shift Lever Kit and QK1123 Shift Stub Kit. There will be a gap between your outer shift boot and the new shift lever. This gap can be easily filled with a short piece of black or gray, split, closed-cell pipe insulation that is readily available from most plumbing supply and hardware stores.

Tech Note 4: Matching Parts
The Matching Parts for QU11669 Shift Lever are:
QU10548 OE Shift Lever
QU10547 Screw On Shift Knob
QU10525 NV4500 5 Speed Shift Pattern Insert
QU10539 Locknut, Knob
QK1127 Shift Tower Kit for 1998-2005 Dodge
QK1027 Shift Lever and Stub Kit for early NV4500 Shift Covers with integral towers
QK1123 Shift Stub Kit for early NV4500 Shift Covers with integral towers
QU10047 Bolt-On Shift Tower with 14mm Coarse Thread for 1998-2005 Dodge
QK1025 OE Shift Lever Kit

Tech Note 5: Shift Pattern Insert
Use a small, flat blade screwdriver when installing the shift pattern insert in the knob.

Tech Note 6: Lubricants, Sealants, Threadlockers
Early production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (QU90003) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (QU90006 or QU90005) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case! Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (S24200) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads. See my TM1003 NV4500 Shop Manual or VSG1003DVD NV4500 Overhaul Video for more information.

Not as soft as it looks
It’s like a hard ball with fur covering. My dogs want to play with it, but have a hard time picking it up. Sounds cool, tho! I wish it was more like a stuffed ball they could easily pick up and throw around

Would buy again
Size: Small Size
Puppy loves this ball. She managed to tear the fuzzy part open fairly quickly but once it was all the way torn the ball inside that makes the noise is as pictured and she can still play with it regardless of the fuzzy part being taken off. Easy to keep track of as it's a tad bigger than a softball. Puppy loves it and it keeps her entertained.

Great turned to not so great
My Doberman (80 pounds in 7 months) puppy absolutely loved this ball. He loves anything noise making so this ball was perfect. Unfortunately, about 2 hours of nonstop play the cover was falling apart. There was no saving in. My pup is rough on toys and this one couldn’t handle it. I let him play without the cover for a little bit but the plastic is VERY hard. I’m not sure what type of plastic it is, but it’s very hard, no your average plastic. It was clunking around and banging into everything possible. I would love to give it more stars as it might have been perfect for other dogs, or maybe I just got a dud. But having to take the ball away from him was almost heart breaking. Those sad puppy dog ever and him looking everywhere for it. Barking nonstop because, well he want his ball….and being a puppy he is still learning. Had the cover held up for even 24 hours it would have been great. So I have a sad puppy and a lighter pocketbook. It was fun while it lasted.
